Social housing regulator gives Your Housing Group top marks

Social housing regulator Homes & Communities Agency (HCA) has awarded Your Housing Group its highest possible rating for a social housing provider.

Social housing regulator Homes & Communities Agency (HCA) has awarded Your Housing Group its highest possible rating for a social housing provider.

Published today, the HCA’s report gives us a G1 rating for Governance and a V1 rating for Viability. This means we are compliant with all our governance responsibilities and we have the capacity to deal with a range of financial pressures, should they arise.

The report follows the HCA’s In Depth Assessment (IDA) conducted through the summer, which involved detailed scrutiny of documents, processes, analysis of data and interviews with Board members and the executive.

The G1 rating improves on our previous position from May 2015, when the Group was given a lower governance rating. We’re delighted that the regulator recognises the improvements we have made.

Your Housing Group CEO Brian Cronin said: “This timely judgement shows how much progress Your Housing Group has made. Business transformation can expose organisations to risk yet we have improved our position during change.

“The HCA’s judgement confirms that our staff customers, suppliers, investors and stakeholders can have complete confidence in our ability to deliver as a progressive housing provider, build more homes and play our part in fixing the broken housing system.”
