Lok Fu Garden is home to many of our residents in Cheetham Hill, Manchester and we recently visited to get involved in some planting and to gain some feedback on the future plans for the green spaces.

On the day we had several residents attend as well as Laura from the National Trust and we spoke to them about the Lok Fu space and what they wanted to see develop.

Shadi, a resident at Lok Fu Gardens said how she would like to see footpaths and seating in the area. Ina, another Lok Fu resident commented on how she would like the space to be transformed into an area for families.

The day was extremely useful and informative to progress our plans to help the community flourish.

Our next steps is now to work closely with Sow the City and the National Trust to develop a plan and drawings of the area which we will share with the residents in 2024.

You can find out more on our residents thoughts by watching the video below of our resident Ina and Anver Zeria (Strong Roots/Customer Service Committee Member) talking about Lok Fu Garden's future plans.
