Qualifications and Criteria
To be successful as a Multi-Skilled Plumber applicant, you will have:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent recognised competency/qualification within the plumbing field
- Experience of undertaking additional repairs and maintenance outside of a plumbing skill set
- Experience of working as an plumber within the housing sector would be beneficial
- Basic health and safety knowledge in a repairs' environment.
- A full UK Driving License (ideally no more than 6 points)
To be successful as a Maintenance Operative here at YHG, you will have:
- Experience in patching, painting, internal and external maintenance works, and minor repairs, plus mould treating
- Experience working within the social housing industry
- Basic health and safety knowledge in a repairs' environment
- A full UK Driving License (ideally no more than 6 points)
To be a successful applicant as an Electrician, you will have:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent recognised competency/qualification within the electrical field
- City and Guilds Inspection and Testing (G&G: 2391 or equivalent), this isn't always required and is dependant on the role
- BS: 7671 18th Edition or currently in the process of achieving 18th
- Experience of fault-finding installations and repairs
- Experience of working as an electrician within the housing sector would be beneficial
- Basic health and safety knowledge in a repairs' environment
- A full UK Driving License (ideally no more than 6 points)
To be successful as a Groundworker/Bricklayer applicant, you will have:
- NVQ Level 2 Trade Qualification or equivalent recognised competency in Groundwork/bricklaying etc
- Experienced in flagging, patch tarmac, bricklaying, pointing, fencing and gates.
- Experience in undertaking other minor multi trade tasks, based on skill sets
- Basic health and safety knowledge in a repair’s environment
- A full UK Driving License (ideally no more than 6 points)
To be successful as a Multi-skilled Joiner here at YHG, you will have:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent recognised competency/qualification within the Joinery field
- Experience of undertaking additional repairs and maintenance outside of a joinery skill set
- Experience of working as a Joiner within the housing sector would be beneficial
- Basic health and safety knowledge in a repairs' environment.
A full UK Driving License (ideally no more than 6 points)
To be successful as a Roofer here at YHG, you will have:
- Experience working at height on Scaffold, MEWPS and other Ladder safety systems
- Ability and experience in the completion of all slate, tile, stone, ridge, verge, and lead repair work to a high standard
- (EDPM Rubber Roofing/flat roof experience is desirable)
- Experience of working as a roofer within the housing sector would be beneficial
- Basic health and safety knowledge in a repairs' environment.
- A full UK Driving License (ideally no more than 6 points)
To be successful as a Plasterer here at YHG, you will have:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent recognised qualification within Plastering
- Experience in patching, skimming, boarding, 2 coat plaster work, rendering, coving and cornice and insulation
- Experience of working as a Plasterer within the housing sector would be beneficial
- Basic health and safety knowledge in a repairs' environment.
- A full UK Driving License (ideally no more than 6 points)
