We recently adapted one of our resident’s bathrooms into a level‑access shower room, making everyday tasks safer and helping restore her confidence at home.

Jackie lives in one of our high‑rise buildings in Liverpool and had begun finding her bathroom difficult to use, particularly getting in and out of the bath safely. Living alone, she often needed support from family and no longer felt confident using her bathroom independently.

Following referrals and assessments from the Liverpool Occupational Therapy Team, we managed and delivered the work with a contribution from the Disabled Facilities Grant, funded via Liverpool City Council. Working with Wright Build, we transformed her bathroom into a safe, accessible space that better meets her needs. The team installed a brand‑new level‑access shower room and refurbished toilet room, complete with new flooring and tiles.

Jackie is absolutely delighted with the results. She described the work as “life‑changing” and praised the team for their professionalism and high‑quality finish.

This is a fantastic example of colleagues and partners working together to ensure our residents have a safe place to call home, helping people feel confident, comfortable and independent.

Well done to everyone involved!
