As we mark Armed Forces Day on 26 June, we're proud to recognise the contribution of serving personnel, veterans and military families.
At Your Housing Group, we're committed to supporting members of the Armed Forces community. Earlier this month, we were delighted to receive the Bronze Award in the Ministry of Defence's Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, recognising our commitment to those who serve, have served, and the families who support them.
Our Veterans & Families Group was created to bring together colleagues who are veterans, serving personnel and family members, providing opportunities to share experiences and support one another.
Importantly, the group isn't just for people who have served themselves. We recognise that military families also make sacrifices and play a vital role in supporting loved ones throughout their service.
As the group continues to grow, we're now exploring ways to extend support to our residents with Armed Forces connections. Whether someone has served themselves or supported a loved one through military service, we want to create opportunities for people to access advice, share experiences and connect with others who understand the realities of military life.
