Last week, we proudly celebrated the incredible work and contributions of our residents over the past 12 months at our Customer Engagement Celebration & Awards.
Now in its second year, the event continues to grow and inspire. Hosted by Dean Slavin, Head of Customer Voice and Insight, and Aaron Hammersley, Director of Housing and Customer, this year we opened nominations to our communities, giving residents the chance to recognise each other for the amazing things they do in their neighbourhoods. It was a fantastic way to shine a light on the acts of kindness and commitment that often go unseen.
We also took the opportunity to thank all of our involved residents who dedicate their time throughout the year to help shape our services and make things better for others. This includes our Young Ambassadors, Section 71/Dowry Members, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Panel, Customer Scrutiny Panel, Customer Connect Panel, and Customer Services Committee.
This year, we received over 80 nominations, making it a real challenge to choose winners! A huge thank you to our judges for helping us select some very well-deserved winners and highly commended nominees.
Our awards and inspiring stories
We had three values-based awards this year, Caring, Honest & Reliable, and Respectful & Fair – alongside two special Chief Executive Awards, High-Rise Hero and the Chief Executive Award 2025.
The stories behind these awards were truly inspiring. One winner was described as a true collaborator, someone who goes out of her way to be inclusive, speaking directly with as many residents as possible. Another was called a true inspiration, having overcome significant challenges from a very young age, including taking on caring responsibilities for her parents when she was just eight years old.
It was one of those “warm and fuzzy” moments that reminded us all why we do what we do.
The event created a great atmosphere, bringing everyone together to celebrate achievements while enjoying a delicious three-course meal and our Christmas raffle. None of this would have been possible without the support of our colleagues, our sponsors, and most importantly, our residents.
As the year comes to a close, we’d like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and we’re already looking forward to 2026!
