Residents from our high-rise buildings across Manchester and Liverpool recently joined us at Youggle House for our 10th High-Rise Forum, bringing together residents and colleagues for important conversations about high-rise living and safety.
The forum covered a range of topics relating to building safety, repairs and resident responsibilities. Our Building Safety Managers, Nick and Vic opened the session with updates on building safety, including seasonal safety advice for the summer months.
Our Customer Scrutiny Manager, Chris, also provided an update on customer engagement, highlighting the different ways residents can get involved, influence decision-making and help shape our services. He shared information about the resident groups currently available and the opportunities for residents to make their voices heard.
Creating an inclusive environment remained a key focus throughout the event. Many residents from our Manchester city centre high-rise buildings are Cantonese speakers, and thanks to live translation provided by our colleague, Echo, through our silent seminar headset system, residents were able to listen and fully participate in their preferred language.
The next High-Rise Forum will take place in Manchester, continuing our commitment to taking these conversations directly into the communities where our residents live.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to another successful forum. Your feedback helps us continue to ensure more people have a safe place to call home.
