The Housing Ombudsman has opened a consultation on how it will handle complaints under the new Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs).

If you’re a tenant of a housing association, STAIRs gives you the right to ask for information about how your home and services are managed.

The Ombudsman wants your views on:

  • Who should be able to make a complaint
  • Whether the time limits are fair
  • How investigations should work
