Please be aware that St Helens Council have issued a statement on their website warning customers to be vigilant around any emails received from St Helens Borough Council (SHBC).
Attackers often use initial compromise to spread a virus to other targets through email – this is known as a “Ransomware Attack”.
SHBC are working hard to rectify the situation, but in the meantime, please remain vigilant.
Please remember: do not click links or open attachments from any recipient if you are not expecting them. If it looks suspicious, or something doesn’t look quite right, always err on the side of caution.
