This week, from Monday 23 February until Friday 27 February, we’re marking Customer Engagement Week at Your Housing Group.

As part of Customer Engagement Week, we’re celebrating the customers who help shape our services.
Today, our Customer Scrutiny Panel (CSP) will kick off their latest scrutiny review of Customer Engagement for Building Safety. They will hear from our Building Safety Team and relevant colleagues to help define their project scope and schedule.
We are also hosting a Scrutiny Network event at our office, Youggle House. Our Customer Scrutiny Panel (CSP) and Customer Connect Panel (CCP), who work with us to review services and make recommendations, will be joined by fellow scrutineers from Moscare St Vincents Housing (MSV), Regenda Housing, and Wythenshawe Community Housing Group to share ideas, reflect on what’s working and look at where we can improve.
Our vision at Your Housing Group is to offer an excellent customer experience and make every contact with us as easy as possible for you, our customers. All of our customers should be able to access the service they need, in the way they want to, at a time that suits them. You can read our Customer Connect commitment here.

We work closely with residents in our high-rise buildings to keep homes safe, through regular meetings, site safety walks, clear safety information and opportunities for residents to get involved.
As part of Customer Engagement Week, Rob shared his experience as an involved customer, “Being part of the High-Rise Forums and Safety Walks really makes a difference - it brings residents, staff and managers together to solve real issues and improve safety in our buildings.” - Robert Rowlands, high-rise resident and this year’s YHG High-Rise Hero.

This week, we are Out and About in Birchwood, meeting customers and talking about what matters locally.
Our Out & About sessions are a chance for us to meet customers in their neighbourhoods, listen to what matters locally and talk about how we can work together to improve communities.

Feedback is key to improving our services.
Each year, we carry out customer satisfaction calls (CSAT) - short conversations that help us understand what’s working well and where we can do better. What you tell us feeds directly into our annual Tenant Satisfaction Measures, which you can see from last year here.
Your feedback helps shape our services and priorities, and it really does make a difference.

Diversity in our communities is important – it’s what keeps our communities unique and forever improving.
And this week, we have an extra-special celebration in our Manchester community as we celebrate the Lunar New Year. Every year, we celebrate Chinese New Year with our Chinese-speaking residents living in our older people homes in Manchester by holding a celebration meal.
We celebrated with 100 residents today (Friday 27 February) at Glamorous restaurant, Manchester for an afternoon of traditional celebrations. The afternoon began with welcoming everyone to the event, followed by a mix of live performances which highlighted the community's traditions and the rich cultural heritage.
Everyone enjoyed the day, and it was a wonderful chance for residents who live in different areas of Manchester to come together and spend time with one another.
We are committed to treating everyone fairly and with respect, whether you're looking to move into one of our homes, you're accessing our services, looking for a job or working in partnership with us. We care about making sure that no one is treated less favourably for any reason. Find out more about our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) here.
