Today, we hosted our seventh High-Rise Forum, bringing together over 20 residents from our high-rise buildings across Manchester and Liverpool. The session focused on building safety - something that’s always a top priority for us. During the day, we shared updates on:

  • The latest building safety regulations
  • Our Building Safety Policy
  • How we’re working to engage with residents now and in the future
  • The steps we’re taking to make sure you have a safe place to call home

Some of our residents who attended our High-Rise Forum don't speak English as their first language however to ensure everyone could participate together, we used our silent seminar headsets, which provided live translation - allowing seamless communication without disrupting the session.

We were also pleased to welcome a special guest speaker, Dr Eve Blezard, Policy Lead at the Chartered Institute of Housing, who oversees work on asset management and building safety.

Dr Blezard spoke about the importance of being open and sharing good practice across the housing sector. She also highlighted how working together can help make sure all buildings are safe for the people who live in them.

Our High-Rise Forums are an important part of how we listen to our residents and work together to create a safe place to call home.

We're already looking forward to our next High-Rise Forum and that's because we're changing things up a bit - we’ll be bringing future forums to our residents! This means we can tailor each session to our communities and make them even more relevant to each high-rise building.
