The government chose one of our new homes' sites to launch their latest funding boost to building social and affordable homes.
Deputy Prime Minister, Angela Rayner and Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves visited our development at Kiln Nook in Burslem, Stoke where they announced a further £2 billion would be invested into their exciting, but ambitious plan to build 1.5 million new homes within the next five years.
Our CEO, Jacque Allen, along with Lorraine Donnelly, our Executive Director of Asset, and Kelly Pointon, Senior Project Manager, showed the Deputy Prime Minister and Chancellor around the site, which is due to see its first residents move in in April, with a final completion date expected later in 2025.
The Chancellor said upon her visit, "We know that there's a housing crisis across the United Kingdom and that's why we're determined to build 1.5 million homes, including the social and affordable homes, that families need. This additional £2b will fund a further 18,000 new homes."
The development in Burslem also also hosts three Grade-II listed restored bottle kilns, known as the Three Sisters.
