Last week we completed the purchase of a 5.40 acre site on land east of Charter Lane, Charnock Richard in Chorley Lancashire, to build 76 affordable homes, appointing Westchurch Homes to build the scheme

The 76 homes will be a mix of with one, two, three and four bed properties, all available for affordable housing tenures: affordable rent and shared ownership.

The plans, which have been approved by Chorley Council, will create an attractive housing development that will bring quality, affordable homes to the local area. Located on the edge of a rural village, the site is walking distance to local schools, and just a short distance from local amenities.

Lorraine Donnelly, our Director of Development, said: “We are pleased to have completed on this site, and look forward to bringing the development forward. Your Housing Group aim to provide a variety of quality, safe and affordable homes for every stage of life that will bring benefit to the wider community. We currently have a number of developments across the North West and hope to bring much needed housing to the area, unlocking affordable living for local people, building thriving communities and supporting local businesses.”

Oliver Chan, Partnerships Director at Westchurch Homes, said: “Westchurch are delighted to have entered into another contract with Your Housing Group to deliver 76 affordable homes to Charnock Richard. This is a great location and we look forward to delivering this development.”

The development is being supported with grant funding from Homes England through our strategic partnership agreement.
