Last week (Thursday 5 March 2026), we hosted our ninth High‑Rise Forum and our second time taking the event to our residents.

The High‑Rise Forum is our opportunity to meet directly with residents living in our high‑rise homes across Liverpool and Manchester. These sessions allow us to talk openly about building safety, upcoming changes, and new regulations but most importantly, they give residents the chance to share their experiences and tell us what matters most to them.

Living in a high‑rise can bring different considerations compared to living in a house, especially around fire safety. That’s why these conversations are so important, and why we’re committed to holding these forums regularly.

Last week, we welcomed residents to Sefton Park Community Centre, just a short walk from several of our high‑rise buildings. It was a busy and productive day with lots of helpful discussion and valuable feedback.

What we covered on the day

Building safety works

Our two Building Safety Managers, Nick and Vic, shared updates on the latest building safety improvements taking place across each block.

Resident engagement

Chris, our Customer Scrutiny Manager, talked about the different ways residents can get involved and help shape our services

Fire safety

Simon, Primary Authority Lead from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, delivered a practical session on the key dos and don’ts of staying safe in a high‑rise home.

Procurement update

Jen, our Head of Procurement, provided an update on the next steps for our Access Control contract and explained how residents will be involved in choosing our next supplier.

Our residents asked questions throughout the day and contributed thoughtful feedback, making this one of our most engaging High‑Rise Forums yet.

We’d like to thank everyone who joined us, your input helps us continue to improve our services to ensure more people have a safe place to call home.
