Running a ‘Tight Ship’

Our ‘Tight Ship’ approach is about working smarter together – improving how we organise, communicate, and deliver services.

Over the past year, we’ve reviewed key areas like:

  • Disrepair
  • Customer access
  • Section 20
  • Fly tipping

One great outcome was the Hard to Access Working Group, which brought teams together to better manage home access for essential checks – helping keep you and your home safe.

By working this way, we’re delivering faster, more reliable services with better teamwork and clearer communication. 

Improving our tech

We’re making our systems faster and more secure to improve your service.

Over the past year, our tech team has worked closely with the Repairs team to make it quicker and easier to handle repair requests. Now, when you report a repair, the details move through our systems faster and more accurately so we can offer you an appointment sooner and keep everything up to date.

We’ve also improved how we schedule repairs that need more than one operative, like roofing jobs. This means everyone arrives together and the work gets done more smoothly.

These changes help us keep better track of information, respond more quickly, and free up our office teams to focus on giving you the best possible service.
