So…. What is this role exactly?

This is an exciting opportunity for a Learning and Development Co-ordinator to join YHGs Learning and Development Team initially on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave

As a Group, we have recently reshaped our values and raised the profile of learning to ensure it is at the heart of what we do, making it a great time to join the team and come and get involved.

There’s a real opportunity to make sure that our training programmes and systems run smoothly, by taking responsibility for the co-ordination of our face to face and online courses and the collation and management of L&D monthly information reports

We are looking for a passionate, highly organised individual that wants to be a part of a team and really strive to make a difference to colleagues learning across Your Housing Group.

What will my working week look like?

You will be homebased, living within the North West, within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington, to attend meetings and training courses when needed.

What will I be responsible for doing?

First and foremost, you will provide essential administrative support for a wide range of internal learning and development activities—ensuring that our training programmes and systems run smoothly and efficiently.

One of the great things about this role is the opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of engaging learning interventions, including our Corporate Induction and Apprenticeship strategies, while managing our Learning Management System (LMS) and generating monthly management information reports.

You’ll also be responsible for coordinating external training sessions, updating training matrices, responding promptly to queries via the Learning Mail inbox, and continuously reviewing learning outcomes to drive improvements.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support project work related to our wider People Strategy, making a tangible impact on our organisational growth.

And what would make me stand out from the crowd?

To be a successful as a L&D Co-ordinator, here at YHG, you will have….

  • A proven track record in high-volume coordination and scheduling, with strong IT skills (proficiency in Microsoft Office and LMS platforms).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, along with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders across multi-site environments.
  • Experience in social housing and familiarity with systems like eBis for payments would be an advantage.

Ideally you will be

  • Highly organised individual
  • Have excellent IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Have the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal

This role is really suited to someone who is customer focused and really enjoys co-ordinating activities
