Rent to Buy is a government-designed scheme that allows working households to rent a home at 20 percent below the market rent value (known as intermediate rent). With less rent to pay, it gives you the opportunity to save for a deposit so you can buy the property in the future.
With Rent to Buy, you can live in a high-quality, new build home at intermediate rent for a maximum of five years. During that time, you can save for a deposit and have the option to buy your home through shared ownership.
You could be eligible for Rent to Buy if you are working and intend to buy the property in the future; you're a first-time buyer or want to own a home again after a relationship breakdown.
You must earn the minimum income required for the home to make sure it's affordable for you, however there’s no maximum income cap for the scheme.
All applicants applying for our Rent to Buy Properties are required to pass our affordability criteria. The below is a guidance of the
minimum household income which is required to proceed with an application. Unfortunately, Housing Benefit is not taken into account
as income. To reserve your property, you will need to pay a reservation fee of £150. This will be used as part payment of your first month’s
rent, once completed, referencing process will proceed.
Minimum household income required:
Monthly rent of £1,080 requires a minimum household income of £40,500 p/a
At the time of letting, prospective Rent to Buy tenants must be in working households and intending to buy their own home in the future.

Without Prejudice & Subject to Contract
Your Housing Limited reserve the right to increase this offer between the date of the Heads of Terms and exchange of contracts if Your Housing Limited consider that market values have increased, and a higher sale price can be justified.
